1st and 3rd Saturdays Meaning of Life Study Group
The Meaning of Life Discussion Group meets at 10:45 AM on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Martha Dodgen is leading this group through a journey into the "Great Minds of Eastern Intellectual Tradition.
11 AM Sunday Homily Service
Our Sunday Service is a time when our congregation gathers to share joys & concerns, reconfirm our covenant, sing together and hear the Homily, presented each week by different members of our church.
First Saturday Breakfast
First Saturday Breakfast is held the first Saturday of the month at 9:20 AM at a local breakfast joint near the fellowship where we can gather and get our grub on before Meaning of Life Discussion Group.
6 PM Friday Dharma AND MEDITATION Group
The Meditation & Dharma Group is led by Mark Howell & Martha Dodgen. The first 30 minutes is spent discussing a topic and then there is typically a 30 minute guided meditation. We are currently exploring Mindfulness: A Practival Guide to Awakening by Joseph Goldstein.
2nd Sunday FoodIE Fellowship
Immediately after the 11 am service, we break to comune in Foodie Fellowship by trying a different local haunt to support our small businesses and enjoy food with friends. Let us know your restaurant suggestions.
Stitch and the Glitterettes Craft Consortium
Stitch and the Glitterettes Craft Consortium is just a whimsical way to say that a bunch of us that don't feel like we have enough time to get out of the house and indulge in our crafting fancies, can gather round, share some snack, and craft for an hour or two with free childcare provided.
Let me Think: a Seat at the Deconstructionist's Table
AUUF embraces everyone on their journey in spiritual growth. Sometimes, that means stepping back from what has been engrained in you from other religious experiences and separating out the cognitive dissonance when the words and actions of religious leaders do not match. Join us for support and thoughtful conversation.
Last Sunday Potluck
The only requirement is that you bring an appetite! The last Sunday of the month, immediately following the homily service, we have a potluck and catch up with old friend and new ones too! If you would like to bring a dish we have a refrigerator and several plugs for crockpots.
